Biography

FIGHTING STYLE: Freestyle

ATHLETIC BACKGROUND: Community college wrestler at West Valley Community College, multi-sport varsity athlete in high school.

WHAT WOULD BECOMING A UFC FIGHTER MEAN TO YOU: A UFC contract would mean everything to me. My goal since Day One has been to fight in the UFC. I feel as if I have UNFISINISHED BUSINESS since competing on TUF 24.  I won my first fight by taking out the No. 4-ranked ranked fighter but failed to receive a promotional contract.  I’m ready for the UFC and will prove that I belong here.

MINI-BIO: I was born in San Jose, CA.  I began fighting in 2008.  After my first seven fights with a record of 4-3, I found myself searching for answers. I entered into a Sports Psychology Masters’ program thinking I would figure out that one thing that was holding me back and in a way I did and I didn’t. A year in and with a 3.8 GPA I’m not sure what I learned in the program, but I have competed all my life and already knew everything I needed to know to win, and being back in school was taking away from my training time. I bailed on the program and rededicated myself to training. I have since run off eight straight victories, seven of those victories being finishes, and I won the Tachi Palace Fights Flyweight Championship via first-round submission. I was fortunate to compete on TUF 24 and cannot stop thinking about getting to the UFC to prove that I belong there.  And it’s not fighting related, but I may be the best ping pong player in MMA, and after a drink or two I can break out a pretty decent fight announcer voice.
