Biography

Training: Lots of sparring and pads - I have to have great conditioning for this fight. I always want to improve on everything, so I kept training in all aspects, not just one thing. Chan is well rounded, so I had to focus on everything.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training BJJ at 16 years old. I used to get into a lot of trouble as a kid and fighting was a way to take out my aggressions without getting in trouble.

What ranks and titles have you held? USWF Lightweight World Champion. Ring Of Fire Lightweight Champion

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I went to college for a couple of semesters and I learned how to drink responsibly.

Who were your training partners for this fight? Cowboy Cerrone, Joe Stevenson, Cub Swanson, Melvin Guillard, Tom Watson, and Jose V and the rest of the crew at Jackson’s.

What is your motivation for the fight? I hate losing and I don’t want to feel it, so that makes me train harder, but most importantly I want to have fun out there and Chan is a guy that makes you take chances, and he does as well, so it’s gonna be a fun night.
