Biography

TRAINING: Morning session - either conditioning or MMA at Pancrase Gym and drilling technique and sparring situations. Evening session at Combat Academy - teaching and training striking or grappling class.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I was born into a martial arts family with both parents operating a karate dojo, so I followed my brother and started kicking as soon as I could walk.

What ranks and titles have you held? Black belt, second degree in karate and kobudo.

Do you have any heroes? My mum and my brother.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It is a life goal come true. I've aimed for it since I started competing and now it is happening in my hometown.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I studied economics for one semester at Stockholm University, but then started working with my own company, learning by doing.

What was your job before you started fighting? I teach martial arts on a daily basis, both in groups and privately, and educate people in making better life choices. This is what I have been doing since I finished high school.

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? 9-0 amateur MMA, Swedish Champion in MMA 2011 and 2012. Swedish Sanda Champion in 2012 and 2014. Representative of the Swedish National teams in both karate (2008) and sanda (2014).
Specific accomplishments in pro competition? Undefeated pro MMA (7-0) and Muay Thai (1-0)

Favorite grappling technique: Kimuras, triangles and leglocks. I like it all.

Favorite Striking technique: Kicks of every kind: spinning, jumping, hooking.
