Biography
TRAINING: I train twice per day 5 days per week. I do all of my conditioning in the morning and all of my martial arts at night. Conditioning includes running, sprints and weights, and martial arts include boxing, kickboxing, wrestling and BJJ.
When and why did you start training for fighting? I have been doing martial arts for 15 years and have competed my entire career. I started to train and compete in MMA after I received my black belt in BJJ six years ago. I love competition and MMA is a great way to test your skills.
What ranks and titles have you held? I am a BJJ black belt and have won the Australian title 10 times and won 2 bronze medals at the World BJJ Championships. I have also won the Spartan Australian Heavyweight MMA title.
Do you have any heroes? Superman.
What is your favorite technique? Rear Naked Choke.
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? The UFC is the premier MMA organization in the world. When I started MMA my goal was to make it to the UFC. Now that I am here, my goal is to make it to the top of the UFC.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy.
What was your job before you started fighting? Occupational Therapist (I currently own and run a full time martial arts school with Elvis Sinosic).
