TRAINING: Hard work in all areas of MMA

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training back in 2005 when I was stationed at Fort Detrick, Maryland and had a chance to visit my home in New York, where I was introduced to Marcelo Garcia. I fell in love with BJJ, which was my start to MMA.

What ranks and titles have you held?
No Mercy Middleweight champion and BJJ Purple Belt

Do you have any heroes?
Marcelo Garcia, Antonio Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira, and Mike Tyson

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It will be a lifelong dream that although I have trained very hard for I never really thought it would actually happen.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I have a BS from California University of Pennysvania in Exercise of Science, Master of Science in Project Management from Colorado Technical University

What was your job before you started fighting? I was a 35N-Wire Equipment System Repairer in the Army, Secure Communication Maintainer for ITT Industry in Iraq for 3 years, and currently a Master Trainer at 24 Hour Fitness.
