Biography
TRAINING: From 10am to 12pm MMA, from 3pm to 5pm Muay Thai 3 times a week, and JJ at the same time two times a week, and from 7pm to 8pm physical training.
Thoughts on opponent, Felipe Arantes? It will be a great fight. I know that he has a background in Muay Thai, and I'm training hard here in Curitiba to develop my skills in the standup, but if the fight goes to the ground it will be okay too. I will be prepared for everything. Felipe fought with Miltinho, my last opponent and it was a draw. We can learn a lot with that fight, and as usual it will be a war. Everyone wants to stay in the UFC, and you must prove it every fight.
When and why did you start training to become a fighter? At age 14. I had an affinity for the sport.
What ranks and titles have you held? Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, Jiu-jitsu: Brazilian champion, Pan American, Brazil Cup, 13-time champion of the Northeast, 15 times champion of Ceará.
Do you have any heroes? My brother
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? The realization of a dream as a professional athlete.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I completed high school
What was your job before you started fighting? Safety inspector
Favorite grappling technique: Triangle
