Biography

TRAINING: I train like I would train for any other fight, with some small changes. I will do some padwork with my coach in the morning, then I have MMA practice after.  I've been working on footwork and angles, and improving the fluidity of my takedowns. And at night I will do some drilling and some conditioning.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training in 2007 for fun, then started training to fight in 2008. I wanted to learn to box for self-defense and ended up at an MMA gym. I began training BJJ and Muay Thai, and loved the feeling of learning and the physical side of it.

What ranks and titles have you held? BJJ purple belt

Do you have any heroes? Anyone who achieves great things in their lifetime and who can stay true to themselves no matter what - mold-breakers, kind/loving people, people with great focus.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It's amazing. It means I have followed my path and achieved a huge goal; it means success and also unlimited potential for success.

Did you go to college and if so, what degree did you earn? CSN and earned an associates degree in Business. I went to UNLV and did the prerequisites for the nursing program before turning to fighting full-time.

What was your job before you started fighting? I was young and was hopping from job to job; was nannying for my sister and her family for the past few years until TUF 23.

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? Tuff n Uff champion/Invicta contract winner
