When and why did you start training for fighting? I started in 2001 after the Navy. I wrestled in the Navy then got turned on to boxing in Alaska.

What ranks and titles have you held? AFC Middleweight title 3 times, Light HW title two times

Do you have any heroes? Randy Couture

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It’s a dream come true. I tried out for The Ultimate Fighter twice, so this is a huge accomplishment.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Enrolled now for engineering degree

What was your job before you started fighting? Licensed Contractor

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? 2008 Pan Am gold medal winner as a blue belt

Ranks in any martial arts styles: Purple belt in BJJ

Favorite grappling technique: I flow like water - whatever they give me is my favorite
