Biography

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training because it looked awesome on TV when I was younger, and it also allowed me to grow discipline and learn self defense from bullying.

What ranks and titles have you held? None

Do you have any heroes? My mom is my main hero. She held down the household and kept it stable and balanced my whole life, which gave me the proper mindset to chase my dreams.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It was my original goal when I started nine years ago. The elite fighters are in the UFC and it’s official: I am one. I always knew it, now it’s time to show the world again!

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Graduated from Western Carolina University in 2006 – I earned my bachelor’s degree.

What was your job before you started fighting? I worked at the bank for 4 years as a debt collector.

Favorite grappling technique: Arm locks

Favorite Striking technique: Jab
