Biography
When and why did you start training for fighting? ” I was a nerd in advanced placement classes in high school, and was getting beaten up every day. I started doing martial arts, lifting weights, and joined the wrestling team to defend myself. I loved the martial arts and what they did for me so much, on so many levels, and they became a huge part of my life.”
What is your favorite technique? “Smashing my opponent’s knuckles with my face.”
Do you have any heroes? “Chuck Liddell. He brought the excitement back to the UFC. Randy Couture. He’s still a world class wrecking machine in his 40s.”
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? “It is my life’s dream; this is all I’ve ever wanted to do since I first saw it. Over ten years of blood sweat and tears and I’ve finally made it.”
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? “Bachelors in Criminal Justice (partway done with my Masters).”
What was your job before you started fighting? “I still work full time as a Boston Police Officer, protecting those who can’t protect themselves.”
What is your biggest weapon in a fight? “My heart.”
