Edson Barboza left the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro a very happy man. He kept his undefeated record intact, opened the UFC RIO main card with a stunning KO of Terry Etim, and earned a couple of Fight Night bonuses in the process.

Barboza earned a Knockout of the Night bonus for his spinning wheel kick that put Etim to sleep in the third round. Barboza and Etim also earned Fight of the Night honors for their exciting scrap.

Rousimar Palhares earned Submission of the Night for his first round - surprise! - leg lock of Mike Massenzio. The bonus was the second of "Toquinho's" UFC career.

Each bonus was worth $65,000.


Khabib Nurmagomedov showed the lightweight division what he was capable of when he knocked out Thiago Taveres in Brazil back in 2013 to improve to 19-0. Next he faces Tony Ferguson for the lightweight belt at UFC 223 live on Pay-Per-View.
