Covington Replaces Spencer in UFC 187 Bout

An injured Sean Spencer has been forced out of his UFC 187 bout against Mike Pyle in Las Vegas. Stepping in for the May 23 match at the MGM Grand Garden Arena will be Colby Covington.

Tickets for UFC 187, which features a battle for the vacant UFC light heavyweight title between Anthony “Rumble” Johnson and Daniel Cormier and UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman putting his belt on the line against Vitor “The Phenom” Belfort, are on sale now.

Unbeaten as a pro, Covington, who has won two straight in the Octagon over Anying Wang and Wagner Silva, will face his stiffest test to date in the veteran Pyle, who has won five of his last seven.
