Fight Week Fight Madness

 

With four fight cards on the way over the next three weekends, the UFC machine keeps on rolling through Japan, the United States, Sweden, and Canada, but there’s even more top-notch fight action on the way, with UFC matchmakers burning the midnight oil this week to present several verbally agreed to matchups for upcoming events.
With Josh Shockley forced out of his UFC 179 bout with Fabricio Camoes on October 25 due to injury, Minnesota’s Tony Martin has stepped up travel to Rio de Janeiro and face the Brazilian veteran as he seeks his first UFC victory.
Two weeks later in Uberlandia, The Ultimate Fighter 19 finalist Dhiego Lima takes the next step in his career at home in Brazil when he takes on tough Polish competitor Pawel Pawlak.
On December 6, the stacked UFC 181 card in Las Vegas gets another intriguing matchup, as heavyweight Todd Duffee returns to the Octagon for the first time since December of 2012 to take on fellow prospect Anthony “Freight Train” Hamilton.
The card for the UFC’s first trip to Phoenix on December 13 is rapidly taking shape, and exciting up and comers Joe Ellenberger and Bryan Barberena are sure to keep Arizona fans cheering in their lightweight contest.
Finally, the Ultimate Fighter 20 finale card will take place on December 12 in Las Vegas, and the first announced bout between Yancy Medeiros and Joe Proctor is bound to be an action-packed one to remember. Stay tuned to UFC.com for more fight announcements.
