In addition to being a top UFC welterweight prospect and a teammate of No. 1 featherweight contender Conor McGregor, Gunnar Nelson is also a prodigious black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and one of the best submission grapplers in the world. So, the Icelander knows a bit about McGregor, as well as ground technique.

When McGregor takes on UFC featherweight kingpin Jose Aldo next month in Las Vegas in the main event of UFC 189, he'll certainly have a great deal working against him. For one, Aldo's high-level experience advantage is monumental, having fought in so many title fights as the longest-reigning world champion in the UFC.
