Mexican Star Alexa Grasso to Make UFC Debut in November

Mexico has had a long fighting tradition over the years in boxing, and with rising stars like Yair Rodriguez making noise in the UFC, MMA is becoming a key part of the nation's fighting culture.

Now it's time for another young star to make the move to the big show, as former Invicta FC star Alexa Grasso enters the Octagon for the first time on November 5 to face veteran Heather Jo Clark in Mexico City.

In the UFC Fight Night main event at Arena Ciudad de Mexico, Tony Ferguson battles former lightweight champion  Rafael Dos Anjos.

A native of Guadalajara, the 23-year-old Grasso made her pro debut in 2012, and by September of 2014, she was battling top strawweights in Invicta FC. With a 4-0 record in the promotion, the unbeaten Grasso has established herself as one of the best 115-pounders in the world, and after back-to-back wins over Mizuki Inoue and Jodie Esquibel that earned her post-fight bonuses, she's ready to tackle the UFC's best, beginning with Clark, an Ultimate Fighter 20 alum who is 1-1 thus far in the Octagon, with a win over Bec Rawlings.
