Mir vs. Duffee to Headline in San Diego

It will be a crossroads battle in the heavyweight division on July 15, as the UFC Fight Night five-round main event at the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego will put former two-time champion Frank Mir against rising star Todd Duffee.

The bout will air live on FOX Sports 1.

One of the most accomplished heavyweights in UFC history, the 35-year-old Mir is coming off a spectacular first round knockout win over Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva in February that earned him a Performance of the Night bonus and got him back on track in the competitive weight class. Winner of three straight, the 29-year-old Duffee has knocked out Phil De Fries and Anthony Hamilton in his last two Octagon bouts, and a victory over Mir could be his ticket to the big time among the big men.
