Ortega Battles Guida at UFC 199

Unbeaten featherweight prospect Brian Ortega will fight in his southern California backyard for the first time as a UFC fighter on June 4 when he faces veteran Clay Guida in a UFC 199 bout at The Forum in Inglewood, California.

In the main event, which airs live on Pay-Per-View, Luke Rockhold defends his UFC middleweight title against Chris Weidman. In the co-featured bout, Dominick Cruz defends his UFC bantamweight crown against Urijah Faber.

Winner of two in a row in the Octagon over Thiago Tavares and Diego Brandao, Los Angeles' Ortega has shown star potential at 145 pounds. But Illinois' popular Guida, who has been a member of the UFC roster for nearly ten years, has no intention of being anyone's stepping stone on fight night, and this June, "The Carpenter" plans on crashing Ortega's homecoming celebration.
