Spencer vs. Pyle Heads to Las Vegas in May

In his first start since a controversial decision loss to Cathal Pendred in January, welterweight prospect Sean Spencer will return to the Octagon on May 23 to square off with veteran standout Mike Pyle at UFC 187 in Las Vegas.

The Memorial Day weekend card is headlined by title fights between Jon Jones and Anthony Johnson and Chris Weidman and Vitor Belfort.

Las Vegas' Pyle is hoping to get back in the win column after an August 2014 loss to Jordan Mein, and with victories in his last three bouts in his adopted hometown, momentum is on the side of "Quicksand," as he takes on Texas' Spencer, who has defeated Paulo Thiago, Drew Dober and Yuri Villefort in the Octagon.
