Conor McGregor, the UFC featherweight who has enjoyed a stellar rise, enjoyed a ‘homecoming’ in Dublin city centre fresh from his first round TKO of Dustin Poirier at UFC 178 in Las Vegas on Sept 27.
"Greeted by a 125m wide UFC ‘Fighting Irish' billboard, McGregor was joined by fellow Irish athletes, Patrick Holohan, Cathal Pendred and current Ultimate Fighter 20 contender Aisling Daly. Needless to say, a huge crowd joined them.
"Pendred edged out Gasan Umalatov after three close rounds at UFC Fight Night Stockholm last weekend, as he moved to 2-0 record in his UFC career, post-TUF."
