Nurmagomedov set for UFC 205 vs Johnson

Khabib Nurmagomedov will be part of UFC 205 after all.

Although rumors of him battling Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight championship failed to come to fruition, the Russian-born Nurmagomedov will still appear in the first UFC card in New York State on Nov. 12 when he faces Michael Johnson.

The undefeated Nurmagomedov enters the fight as the UFC’s top-ranked lightweight, while "The Menace" Johnson is No. 6 thanks to his first round victory over Dustin Poirier at UFC Fight Night Hidalgo on Sept. 17.

Tickets for UFC 205 at Madison Square Garden go on sale Friday, Sept. 30.
