Former world title challenger Sara McMann returns to the Octagon on August 16 to face unbeaten newcomer Lauren Murphy in a bantamweight bout at UFC Fight Night in Bangor, Maine.
An Olympic Silver medalist in freestyle wrestling, McMann raced out to a 7-0 MMA record before losing her challenge of women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey at UFC 170 in February. Now she will return to face another champion in the first Invicta FC titleholder, Murphy, whose 8-0 slate includes wins over Kaitlin Young, Sarah D'Alelio, and Miriam Nakamoto.
