Bobby Green was arguably the fastest-rising star in the lightweight division before Fight Night Austin, but Edson Barboza, once a heralded prospect himself, reclaimed that title Saturday night.

Barboza dominated Green for 15 minutes in their co-main event clash, and was voted up five spots in this week’s official UFC rankings to No. 6. Green falls two spots to No. 9, while Jim Miller (10), Eddie Alvarez (11) and Michael Johnson (12) all move down one spot.

Barboza said after the fight that fans have yet to see the best Edson Barboza inside the Octagon.

“Believe me, you guys have yet to see the best Edson Barboza,” he said at the Fight Night Austin post fight press conference. “I keep working hard, and I think that a new Edson Barboza is born right now. I feel very comfortable on the ground, in wrestling, and my striking is going to every fight be looking better. … I’m ready for all guys in this division.”

Edgar (left) vs. Swanson in Texas. As good as Barboza was in Texas, former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar stole the show. He obliterated Cub Swanson on his way to the latest finish in UFC history - a rear naked choke at 4:56 in the fifth and final round.

The media voted Edgar up a spot to No. 2 behind No. 1-ranked Chad Mendes, as Swanson dropped to No. 4 at 145 pounds. Ricardo Lamas, fresh off his win over Dennis Bermudez, also moved past Swanson into the No. 3 spot.
