UFC Gym Opens Sydney Facility

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA - UFC GYM®, a partnership between the Ultimate Fighting Championship® (UFC®) and New Evolution Ventures® (NeV), continues its expansion, opening its first international club in Australia on Friday, March 8. The 32,000 square foot club, located in the city-suburb of Alexandria, south of Sydney, will feature the brand’s signature Octagon™, classes, programs, and cardio and strength equipment.

The brand, best known for its TRAIN DIFFERENT™ approach to fitness, will provide unrivalled facilities and training for men, women and children, regardless of their fitness level or experience. It provides an alternative to the traditional gym workout and offers an incomparable exercise experience, combining discipline, skills learning, and all-around body workouts in a fun motivating environment.

As a world leader in modern mixed martial arts (MMA), UFC GYM will offer training with expert trainers and features an official training Octagon™, a specially designed bag-room with monkey bars as well as a highly spec’d grappling arena. The gym also provides the Ultimate Training Centre complete with an indoor astro-turf area for the latest in strength and conditioning training. This will feature tools including rope machines, TRX, Jacobs Ladder, Olympic lifting, Olympic rings, sledges, tyres, wall balls and kettlebells to train like fighters and athletes. In addition, the gym will have traditional equipment including over 100 cardio machines, tonnes of free weights and top of the range resistance equipment including the first of its kind in Australia, Star-trac isolateral leverage series.  

UFC GYM has created the most comprehensive class schedule for a gym. A variety of MMA classes including Muay Thai Kick-boxing, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Wrestling and Boxing, as well as fitness and specialty classes such as Yoga, Zumba, Cycle, Women’s Self-Defence, exclusive Daily Ultimate Training classes, 360Warrior, Pound®, Fat Burning Pilates, Adrenaline, Power-metrics and many more will be offered.

Created as a gym for the whole family, UFC GYM is focused on providing a safe and motivating environment for children and youth to learn the skills and discipline of MMA and fitness. A private studio for Youth Training will run youth classes for children from the age of 3 years to 14 years old. A Kids Box with child-minding services for children from 1 year old is available and includes interactive games to keep kids active while their parents workout.
