UFC Returns to Atlanta January 15

The UFC will return to Atlanta in January 2014.

UFC officials today announced that the organization will return to the Atlanta area with a fight card booked for Wednesday, January 15 at Duluth's Arena at Gwinnett Center.

Two fights are already set for the date, with Georgia's own Cole Miller facing Sam Sicilia. Both are coming off recent and impressive victories in the featherweight division and have verbally agreed to the matchup. Plus, powerful bantamweights TJ Dillashaw and Mike Easton will meet in a finishers' faceoff.

Atlanta has twice hosted memorable UFC events. Most recently, the city was the site of UFC 145 and its light heavyweight grudge and title bout between onetime training partners-turned-rivals Jon Jones and Rashad Evans. Atlanta was also home to UFC 88, the event where Rashad Evans silenced the crowd with a one-punch knockout of legend Chuck Liddell.

The event is slated to air live on FOX Sports 1 in the US.

Tickets for this UFC Fight Night event will go on sale Friday, December 6. More details on the event -- including the main event and other bouts -- will be available in coming weeks on UFC.com.
